PENSACOLA, Florida (January 1, 2020) – PixelatedSPEED had a tremendous year in 2019, covering races from local go kart tracks all the way up the ladder to the NASCAR Cup Series. Our social media style of coverage spanned Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
Along the way, PixelatedSPEED visited some of the most prestigious events in short track racing including our second trip to Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida for the 52nd Annual Snowball Derby.
PixelatedSPEED is planning on going to 20 high profile events in 2020.
For this year, we plan on continuing to build on the momentum from last year and are pressing forward with an ambitious plan that will see our brand of coverage visit a dozen different venues covering many different series and special events.
Getting things kicked off early, PixelatedSPEED’s first major event of the season takes us to New Smyrna Beach, Florida for the Red Eye 50/50 at New Smyrna Speedway on January 4th, covering the first Super and Pro Late Model action of the year.
The following week, we head to Lucedale, Mississippi for a brand new and very special karting event, the Michael Beasley Memorial Race, in honor of the beloved racer, crew member and friend to many here on the Gulf Coast.
From the tightest venue on our schedule, we then head to the biggest venue… going to the “World Center of Racing” on February 8th for the ARCA Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway, kicking off our coverage of Speedweeks 2020.
We’ll close out the month of February with a visit back home at Five Flags Speedway on February 29th for the annual running of the Sweat Hog Grand Prix enduro races for four cylinders and motorcycles.
The 56th Alabama 200 kicks off a very busy month of March and marks our first trip to Montgomery Motor Speedway on March 7th. It’s back to Pensacola for the return of the ARCA Menards East Series (formerly NASCAR K&N Pro Series East) and the ARCA Pensacola 200.
The wrap up to the month also marks the ramp up of the 2020 Southern Super Series season with the running of the Baby Rattler 125 on Saturday, March 22nd, and the Rattler 250 on Sunday, March 23rd at South Alabama Speedway in Opp, Alabama.
Jumping forward to the month of May, PixelatedSPEED will make its first trip to the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for a huge weekend of racing action featuring the ARCA Menards East Series on Saturday May 2nd, USAC Silver Crown Series returns on Sunday, May 3rd, sharing the event ticket with the North/South Super Late Model Challenge, a combination event presented by the Southern Super Series, ARCA CRA Super Series and the CARS Super Late Model Tour.
Racing in May continues with the long awaited return of racing to Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia on May 17th in an event promoted by Five Flags Speedway promoter Tim Byrant and Speed51.com President Bob Dillner for the Southern Super Series.
Another combination event finishes up May, as the Southern Super Series, ARCA CRA Super Series and CARS Tour once again go to battle in the “Last Great Colosseum” for the US Short Track Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway on May 30th.
The summer hosts the coolest series on the Gulf Coast as the Blizzard Series takes center stage on June 19th, July 19th, and September 26th at Five Flags Speedway. Also in the mix is another trip up to Montgomery, Alabama for the Rumble by the River Southern Super Series event on July 11th. August 8th sees PixelatedSPEED heading to watermelon country for the Georgia Summer Nationals at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, Georgia in the penultimate event for the 2020 Southern Super Series Season.
The year finishes out just as strong as ever with the Southern Super Series season finale, the Hart to Hart 100 at New Smyrna Speedway on October 17th, the two of the biggest events in all of short track racing… the 36th Annual All American 400 in Nashville on November 1st, and the 53rd Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway on December 6th.
In our quest to present this cornucopia of speed in 2020, we will do so utilizing social posts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and unique video coverage on both Facebook and YouTube. Fans can expect plenty of varied content on the PixelatedSPEED website, as features, results, standings and tons of information will be shared, and chronicled throughout the year.
